Mawlem
Description
Though its appearance may suggest otherwise, Mawlem may be the most protective of the Claymin family. It has a tendency to stare down suspicious strangers with its single, unnerving eye, and seems to enjoy the fact that it can keep threats at bay with its disturbing appearance alone. Beneath this grim exterior, however, lies a curios fascination with intricate geometry—especially ornate, human-made designs. Elaborate sculptures and decorative trinkets seem to enchant the Mawlem, momentarily drawing its attention from its watchful duty.
Combat
Between its agile limbs and thick carapace, Mawlem is defensively sound against both physical and magical attacks. Its Anomaly class also gives it the ability to strike at a distance while staying near allies to protect them from harm. A Mawlem will always prefer to take hits for its allies, if possible, and the Bodyguard feature ensures that its conjurer won't be penalized for using it as intended.
