Battle Montage
Scenario
A Battle Montage happens when the players encounter hostile combatants in a random encounter, usually when traveling or exploring. This Scenario can be used as a low-resolution way to resolve an unimportant battle while still taxing the players' resources.
A Battle Montage plays out in Tactical Time. In this Scenario, players must land enough hits to incapacitate enemy combatants before they retaliate.

Rules
To run a Battle Montage, form each enemy combatant into a line. Each player then chooses an enemy to square up against. If multiple players square up against the same enemy, they decide which one is first in line amongst themselves. Once all players have squared up, any leftover enemies that have not been squared up against are placed behind another enemy.
To incapacitate enemies, each player makes an attack in turn against the enemy they are up against. Each hit deals 5 damage, regardless of the attack’s listed damage. Apply any Roll Modifiers for Vulnerability or Resistance as normal. If a player uses an attack that costs Stamina or Mana, they get a +3 Die Modifier per Stamina or Mana it costs. Attacks against Surprised enemies get a +2 Roll Modifier. Players may also use items such as Binding Crystals to bind wild crytures in a Battle Montage.
Once all players have taken their turn, the enemies retaliate by dealing damage against the first player they’re up against. Choose an attack from each enemy and deal damage equal to their current Health divided by 5, times the attack's Dice Pool. Vulnerability or Resistance confers a +2 or -2 Die Modifier.

At the end of each round, roll a Morale check for the enemies to see if they flee. Players also have an opportunity to flee if they so choose.

Rewards
Defeating an enemy in combat awards 10 Experience per Danger, and 1 roll on its Loot table per Danger.
