Boons and Benefits

Boons and Benefits are roleplay-focused rewards that can be bought with Favor. A Boon is a one-time expenditure of Favor for a single reward. A Benefit is a lingering bonus that your character can take advantage of perpetually.

Favorite Customer

Benefit

Cost: 100 Favor

Effect: You get a 10% discount from a chosen merchant.

Patronage

Benefit

Cost: 100 Favor per level of Profession

Effect: A chosen craftsman will create custom items for you from their professions.

Loan

Boon

Cost: Favor equal to half the amount of the loan

Effect: A person or organization loans you some Cash that must be paid back at a later time.

Contacts

Benefit

Cost: 200 Favor

Effect: You have friends that belong to a certain circle of society. You get a +2 roll modifier when making talent checks to gain information relating to that particular social group. You can have multiple instances of this Benefit, but each one must apply to a different group.

Viridian Initiate

Benefit

Cost: 100 Favor

Requirements: 2 Inquiry, Lore, Nature or Persuasion, 1 Magic, Melee or Ranged

Effect: You become a member of the Viridian Order and gain access to the following.

  • Room and board worth 25 Cash per day

  • Add the Viridian Sigil Property to an Accessory or Armor

  • Secret Crafting Recipes up to level 2

  • Kriebean as a starting cryture

  • Level 1 Viridian Order equipment for purchase

Viridian Squire

Benefit

Cost: 300 Favor

Requirements: 3 Inquiry, Lore, Nature or Persuasion, 2 Magic, Melee or Ranged, Kriebean

Effect: You are promoted to a Viridian Squire and gain access to the following.

  • Room and board worth 50 Cash per day

  • A Basic Verdant Equipment

  • Secret Crafting Recipes up to level 3

  • Level 2 Viridian Order equipment for purchase

Viridian Knight

Benefit

Cost: 500 Favor

Requirements: 4 Inquiry, Lore, Nature or Persuasion, 3 Magic, Melee or Ranged, Solstalk

Effect: You are promoted to a Viridian Knight and gain access to the following.

  • Room and board worth 100 Cash per day

  • A Heroic Verdant Equipment

  • Secret Crafting Recipes up to level 5

  • Level 3 Viridian Order equipment for purchase

Kriebean Egg

Cost: 100 Favor

Requirements: Viridian Initiate

Effect: You receive a Kriebean egg.

Verdant Equipment

Boon

Cost: Favor equal to the item’s value

Requirements: Viridian Initiate

Effect: You are gifted a piece of Viridian Order equipment, up to 1 level higher than you can purchase.

League Acolyte

Benefit

Cost: 100 Favor

Requirements: 2 Conjuring or Magic, 1 Healing, History, Mechanics or Zoology

Effect: You become a member of the League of Magi and gain access to the following.

  • Room and board worth 25 Cash per day

  • A Tome with the Lesser Cryture Codex Property

  • Glubble, Torkish or Flowzie as a starting cryture

  • Level 1 Alchemist and Scribe items for purchase

  • Access to workspace for Alchemist, Artificer and Scribe Professions

League Adept

Cost: 300 Favor

Requirements: 3 Conjuring or Magic, 2 Healing, Lore, Mechanics or Nature, League Acolyte

Effect: You are promoted to a League Adept and gain access to the following.

  • Room and board worth 50 Cash per day

  • A Tome with the Cryture Codex Property

  • Crafting Recipes for Alchemist, Artificer and Scribe Professions up to level 3

  • Level 2 Alchemist and Scribe items for purchase

League Mage

Cost: 500 Favor

Requirements: 4 Binding or Magic, 3 Healing, History, Mechanics or Zoology, League Adept

Effect: You are promoted to a League Adept and gain access to the following.

  • Room and board worth 100 Cash per day

  • A Tome with the Cryture Codex Property

  • Crafting Recipes for Alchemist, Artificer and Scribe Professions up to level 5

  • Level 3 Alchemist and Scribe items for purchase

Militia Rookie

Requirements: 2 Magic, Melee, or Ranged

Effect: You become a member of the Rootrun Militia and gain access to the following.

Effect: You are promoted to a Militia Elite and gain access to the following.
