Astrowl

Description

Using their halo of glowing feathers, Astrowls have developed further tactics to confound and confuse both prey and predator. In the darkness of night, these points of light can easily be mistaken for multiple crytures, and they liberally use this fact to scare away larger packs of crytures that may be looking for an easy meal. When they themselves are out hunting, Astrowls will use this ability to trick prey into thinking that a whole flock is coming from one direction, while their younger allies come from the other side to trap them from both sides.

Combat

With their flight fully developed, Astrowls make the most of it in combat. They will take any opportunity to fly over an enemy’s front lines while the Hawlos of the pack keep them distracted and harass more fragile foes. They may also use their flight to position themselves for greatest effect when delivering blast attacks to hit as many foes as possible.
