Torkish
Description
These small, flaming beings possess a stony feel to their skin, as if sculpted from the stone itself. Torkish are notorious for gathering in rowdy celebrations, dancing and chattering around makeshift bonfires. Such gatherings frequently give rise to wildfires, causing Torkish to be regarded as a dangerous pest, even by other crytures.
While Torkish are native to the tropical Burning Isles to the south, Archmage Lucas Loric brought some of them back to Rootrun after an expedition. Here, they are used as entry-level crytures for conjurers in the League of Magi.
Combat
Torkish is a glass canon that prefers to fight at range. In a group, they will try to single out an enemy melee combatant and try to overwhelm it with focused damage, then move onto the next. One Torkish may engage in melee, using its Monk powers to block the path to the others. Those in the rear won't hesitate to drop blast attacks on the melee Torkish if it will hit more enemies that way. Their natural fire resistance gives them a good chance to shrug off damage from allies, so the group can come out ahead with this tactic.
