Description

Hooplites are usually found leading squads of their younger forms not only in hunting, but in various odd behaviors as well. They may be seen running and flying in formation, or repeatedly striking at the air in a synchronized rhythm, among other things. Some magi suggest that these are training exercises to increase coordination throughout the squad, making them deadly in group combat. Despite the metallic nature of its wings and feathers, Hooplite appears to have no problems with flight. The material they’re made of is unnaturally tough, flexible, and lightweight, inspiring some metallurgists to attempt the creation of a similar material in their forges.
