Flittox

Description

Flittox are highly social crytures, dwelling deep within subterranean caves, that form tightly-knit packs composed of siblings or close kin. Despite their underground habitat, these packs are not isolated; Flittox frequently visit neighboring groups, seemingly engaging in social exchanges to share information and maintain inter-pack relationships. Their potent toxin, which can be transmitted through either a bite or breath, induces sluggishness in their prey, which they use to harry elusive prey until it's too weak to put up a fight.

Combat

Thanks to their flight feature, Flittox are highly mobile combatants, and prefer to use hit-and-run tactics to avoid getting pinned down. Their best bet is to inflict ongoing damage, then pepper their enemies with other crippling effects until their foes succumb to their wounds. Flittox are cunning enough to coordinate their attacks, so they may work in pairs, or even trios, to cover for each other.
