Ettimber
Description
With its second head fully grown and aware, Ettimbers often seem to be at odds with themselves, at least when both heads are active. For most of the day, they alternate functions every few hours, where one head is alert and active, while the other sleeps. Since they still need to absorb nutrients from the soil, they usually don’t move around much, preferring to root in a single spot for most of the day. During their overlapping periods of consciousness, some Ettimbers have been known to argue with each other, while others are more amicable. The less confrontational pairs often engage in the same humming behaviors of Twinbers, creating droning harmonies that echo through the forest.
Combat
When an Ettimber’s pack is threatened, both heads come to life, fully aware. They lumber directly into the midst of their foes, where they leverage their many blast attacks to strike as many enemies as possible. They focus more on personal defense, leaving their younger kin to fend for themselves. Younger pack members will do their best to funnel enemies into the Ettimber, keeping them in reach of its devastating melee attacks.
