Mantacord

Description

The Mantacord commands not just the waters, but the skies above with regal authority. It lays claim to large territories, both around and above smaller bodies of water. Pupodes and Elefins follow it instinctively, drawn to its commanding presence, while lesser crytures are either bullied into submission or bribed into servitude. The Flyl and Flownies, particularly susceptible to its magnetic allure, are utterly spellbound by a Mantacord's electrifying presence.

Combat

A Mantacord is never encountered alone, and often have a fairly diverse entourage at their beck and call. They will stay out of melee as much as possible, relying on their tougher bodyguards to engage in close combat. From the safety of the rear, they skirt the battlefield, looking for opportunities to flank an enemy before delivering ranged attacks. They usually don't hesitate to use catch an ally in blast attacks, but are conscious enough to use a damage type that their ally resists when they do so.
