Fluther

Description

Since these venemous chimeras are easy prey for bigger crytures, they prefer to stay in or near their nests when they aren't actively foraging for food. Fluther nests usually take the form of burrows with concealed entrances, where several of them will curl uptogether for warmth and protection. Grooming rituals are common among them, keeping their bodies clean. Despite their skittish nature, Fluthers are opportunistic hunters, preying on smaller or weaker Crytures and even humans when the situation allows. Their nests often double as hiding places, letting them ambush unsuspecting prey that wanders too close without revealing themselves to potential predators.

Combat

Fluthers fight like ambush predators, and adopt pack tactics whenever they're in a group, surrounding a single target to cut it off from the group. Their Beast classes give them great mobility powers, so they rarely stay in one place while fighting, and often use this capability to keep enemies off-balance. When one Fluther is injured, it will disengage as soon as possible, while another re-engages the same foe to help their friend slip away.
