League of Magi

Description

The League of Magi was created as a means for conjurers, scholars, and researchers to share their knowledge and pool resources to advance their understanding of the world, in both natural and magical ways. It operates all across The Allied Kingdoms, with a branch in each region.

Functions

  • Study, regulate, and teach all forms of magic

  • Research new applications of magic

  • Seek out new discoveries

Membership

  • Must have at least 2 levels in Binding or Magic

  • Must have at least 1 level in Healing, History, Mechanics, or Zoology

Duties

  • Assist senior magi in research

  • Share research between colleagues

  • Use professional skills to benefit the league

Benefits

  • Free room and board worth 25 Cash/day

  • Research funding

  • Access to professional services on commission

Ranks

  • Acolyte - Acolytes are the trainees and assistants of the league. They are given simple tasks to perform, and may be commissioned to help with research. They can pursue their own research goals in their free time.

  • Mage - Mages can request funding for their research projects. This may go towards pay for Acolytes, materials, or organizing expedtitions.

  • Archmage - There is one local archmage for every region of The Allied Kingdoms. Each one is appointed by the mythic conjurer who rules the region. They are in charge of approving and allocating funds for research.
